CORTEJO AFRO

Banda Cortejo Afro brings a beat that differs from the others, as it presents a mix of African and pop rhythms, called "Afro-Bahian musical revolution". It was created on July 2, 1998, in the community of Pirajá.

In 2008 an exchange took place with Portugal which aimed to integrate disadvantaged young people from Bairro da Cova da Moura in the Carnival festivities of Salvador da Baía.
